Northland Community & Technical College ( Northland) will host a Comprehensive Evaluation site visit from the Higher Learning Commission.

Criteria

Northland will be assessed on four criteria, including: our mission, integrity, teaching & learning, and sustainability.


Criterion 1

Mission

The institution’s mission is clear and articulated publicly; it guides the institution’s operations. 


Criterion 2

Integrity – Ethical & Responsible Conduct 

In fulfilling its mission, the institution acts with integrity; its conduct is ethical and responsible.  


Criterion 3

Teaching & Learning for Student Success 

The institution demonstrates responsibility for the quality of its educational programs, learning environments, and support services, and evaluates their effectiveness in fulfilling its mission. The rigor and quality of each educational program are consistent regardless of modality, location, or other differentiating factors.

The institution’s resources, structures, policies, procedures, and planning enable it to fulfill its mission, improve the quality of its educational programs, and respond to future challenges and opportunities.


IPEDS Data Feedback Reports

The IPEDS Data Feedback Report provides a benchmarked view of Northland’s key institutional metrics to similar colleges nationwide (e.g., enrollment, graduation rates, and student demographics). This report supports Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation by demonstrating transparency, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement. Reviewing IPEDS data helps identify trends, strengths, and areas for growth in alignment with federal and accreditation standards.
