Minnesota State has named four finalists in the search for president of Northland. Learn more.

Welcome to Northland Community & Technical College! We’re excited to help you get started. Here’s a simple guide to help you through the enrollment process.

STEP #1

Apply to Northland Community & Technical College

Start by completing our free online application.

STEP #2

Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

Fill out the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It’s best to apply early so your financial aid is complete before the semester starts.

Northland’s FAFSA code is 002385

After completing the FAFSA, apply for Northland scholarships. If you are a veteran, be sure to contact the Veteran Resource Center for assistance with benefits.

STEP #3

Check if You Need an Assessment

Northland uses various tests, including ACT, SAT, Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA), and/or your high school GPA, or previous college coursework, to help determine course placement. If placement can’t be determined based on that information, you will need to take an Accuplacer assessment.

STEP #4

Register for Classes with Your Assigned Advisor

Once everything is in place, meet with your designated academic advisor. They will assist you in choosing the right courses that align with your education and career goals, as well as connect you to valuable campus resources.
