Student Fees Information

Review the following for more information on Northland student fees, personal property, and service charges.

Financial Aid Eligibility

All prospective students may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid. The Department of Education will determine eligibility through the use of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Student Aid may consist of Federal Pell Grant (up to $7,395), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and Stafford Loans ($5,500–$10,500). Loan indebtedness from a two-year program at Northland Community & Technical College may range from $0 to $21,000, depending upon eligibility and acceptance of loans.

Northland Scholarships

The Northland Community & Technical College Foundation offers scholarships for the Fall and Spring semesters. A simple, online scholarship application for all Foundation’s scholarships is usually posted early in the Fall and Spring semesters. The criteria for selection differ for each scholarship. Some awards are specific to programs, student goals, or circumstances, while others have more general criteria.

Veterans Education Benefits

All veterans may be eligible for educational benefits through the VA educational assistance programs. The Department of Veterans Affairs will determine eligibility and amount of benefits through the use of the VONAPP (Veterans Online Application). Veterans under 24 are considered independent if they have a complete active duty status as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
