Northland’s Early Childhood Paraprofessional A.A.S. program prepares you for a rewarding career working with children in schools, childcare centers, and early learning programs. Gain the skills to become a paraprofessional, teacher aide, or childcare professional while supporting children’s growth and development. Develop hands-on experience in child development, classroom support, behavior guidance, and inclusive learning environments, with coursework in special education, observation and assessment, health and safety, and family engagement. This program meets Minnesota Department of Human Services educational requirements for childcare and paraprofessional roles, helping you enter the workforce quickly or continue toward a bachelor’s degree in education.
