WDS 2024 Residential Contractor Continuing Education

This course is designed as an annual training event for residential building contractors and remodelers licensed by Minnesota State. This 2024 session will provide seven (7) hours of Residential Contractor Continuing Education. The seminar will meet MN DOLI criteria for one (1) energy hour and one (1) business hour.

Scheduled course topics include:
Minnesota Code Updates

  • MN rules 1300
  • Review of Residential Occupancies

Tall Walls versus Braced Walls

  • Loads and exposure
  • Methods and Limitations

Business Management

  • 2024 Minnesota Law & Compliance Changes
  • Recruiting & Employee Retention
  • I-9 updates

Minnesota Energy Code

  • Administration
  • Application and Standards
  • Document Retention for Code Compliance

The class roster of completed attendance will be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to register CE credit in accordance with Qualified Builder licensing requirements.

Registration includes all course materials, morning coffee, and lunch provided on-site.

Registration Deadline

Register by Thursday, December 16, 2023 for Early Bird Price of $165.
Registrations after December 16, 2023 will be $195.

If space is available, registrations will be accepted until Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

EGF Accuplacer Assessment

The Accuplacer assessment test is used for placement into courses at Northland. The Accuplacer needs to be scheduled in advance. New students will be notified by Admissions if an assessment is needed.
