Course Description
This course introduces students to the foundational concepts and practices of surgical technology. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of the surgical team, aseptic technique, surgical instruments, professionalism, communication, and medication handling in the operating room. Students will begin developing knowledge of patient care concepts and skills necessary for safe and effective participation in surgical procedures.
