Nondiscrimination Statements

Along with the formats stated below, Northland should have contact information for the person to whom complaints of discrimination/harassment should be directed. The OCR requires that Northland designate specific individuals for complaints of discrimination and harassment based on sex (Title IX) and disability (section 504). We usually consider these individuals to be the designated 1B.1 office on the campus – if you have a designated 1B.1 officer on the campus, that will suffice for both. Be sure to include the person’s contact information: Name, Office Location, Phone, and e-mail.

Long Format

Northland Community & Technical College is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment and education opportunity. No person shall be discriminated against in the terms and conditions of employment, personnel practices, or access to and participation in, programs, services, and activities with regard to race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Sexual violence has no place in a learning or work environment. Further, Northland Community & Technical College shall work to eliminate violence in all its forms.
