Northland EXPO brings 10th–12th grade students to campus for a hands‑on, immersive look at real college programs. Students rotate through faculty‑led breakout sessions and experience what learning looks like in fields like healthcare, manufacturing, IT, business, transportation, and more.

Breakout Sessions
Every EXPO breakout session gives you a hands‑on look at what learning in each field actually feels like. Northland instructors lead each session, and every program designs its own experience based on its labs, equipment, and teaching style.
What Students Experience

Career Exploration Booths
You can explore Career Exploration Booths located near the program labs. Local employers bring tools, equipment, and real‑world examples from careers connected to the workshops you’re experiencing.
You’ll see what different jobs look like, learn about starting wages and training options, and find out how career pathways in our region connect to your interests.
EXPO Schedule
A consistent schedule helps schools plan confidently. Breakout sessions are 40 minutes, giving students meaningful time in each program area.

- Audience: EXPO is designed for students in grades 10–12.
- Arrival & Check‑In: Staff greet buses and guide groups to registration.
- Group Rotations: Students move through sessions in small groups.
- Chaperones: Teachers accompany groups throughout the day.
- Lunch: Northland provides lunch for all students and chaperones. Groups may also explore Career Exploration Booths during this time.
- Accessibility: Northland provides accessible facilities and accommodations.
- Departure: Groups gather for photos and final check‑out before boarding buses.
