Are you a Minnesota resident training for a high-demand career? You could receive a $2,500 scholarship from the State of Minnesota to help cover your tuition at Northland.

If you are a MN resident enrolling in at least 9 credits this fall within Healthcare, IT, Education, or Skilled Trades, you may qualify. Returning recipients are also eligible to reapply.

Minnesota residents can get a tuition- and fee-free path to college. This “last-dollar” program covers any remaining balance after your other grants and aid are applied.

Heading into the skilled trades? The mikeroweWORKS Foundation offers Work Ethic Scholarships for students enrolled in high-demand programs that take two years or less to complete.

Many qualifying pathways are available right here at Northland. By demonstrating a strong work ethic and signing the S.W.E.A.T. Pledge, you could receive funding to cover your tuition, fees, and books.

Covers up to $6,000 annually in tuition and costs for early childhood education students while they earn wages in on-the-job training.

Targeted to incoming students, this award allows qualifying students to secure funding a year before starting classes.

This award helps eligible Northland students by covering up to 2 years of tuition and providing up to $1,000 for required books, tools, and supplies.

Scholarships are free financial aid gifts established by alumni and community donors who care about your success. Unlike loans, you do not have to pay them back. We offer both permanent (Endowed) and yearly (Annual) options.

Selection is based on a student’s match with a scholarship’s criteria.

• We ask that our scholarship students connect with the donors who sponsor their scholarships each year. One option is to write a thank-you card to your scholarship donor.
• Additionally, we host a Scholarship Celebration for students and donors. All scholarship recipients, as well as donors, are invited to this event. We expect that scholarship recipients will attend this event.
• There may be additional opportunities to meet your donor. For example, if your donor comes to campus, we may reach out to set up an in-person meeting for lunch or coffee. Also, we may ask you to share a testimony about the impact of scholarship support at Northland for marketing materials.
