THIEF RIVER FALLS — Northland Community and Technical College will hold its first training session for use of force training in June after being awarded grant funding.

The initiative will be delivered through Northland’s Workforce Development Solutions, a press release said.

“Through Workforce Development Solutions, Northland is expanding access to high-quality, real-world training that supports law enforcement professionals across our region,” Kirsten Michalke, dean of workforce development, said in the release. “Providing this training at no cost removes barriers for agencies and ensures officers are equipped with current best practices.”
