Northland Community & Technical College to hold one-stop enrollment day on August 15

The event, called "Takeoff Tuesday," is meant to help alleviate some of the stress associated with college admissions.

On Tuesday, August 15, Northland Community & Technical College will hold a One-Stop Enrollment Day for Fall 2023. The event, called “Takeoff Tuesday,” is meant to help alleviate some of the stress associated with college admissions. The event is open to new and prospective students and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on each Northland campus.

“Navigating the college admissions and enrollment process can seem overwhelming,” stated Jeff Pool, Dean of Student Affairs at Northland. “Getting started can often be the hardest part, so by offering a one stop shop to complete the necessary steps towards admission and enrollment, we want to make it extremely user friendly for prospective students and their families.”

Attendees receive one-on-one assistance and may be able to complete their entire enrollment process, from start to finish, in one day. College staff from all across campus will be on hand to assist students with the following enrollment steps:

  • Apply for admission
  • Apply for financial aid
  • Complete placement testing
  • Meet with an academic advisor
  • Register for classes
  • Learn about scholarship opportunities
  • Pay tuition fees or sign up for a payment plan
  • Take a campus tour
  • Obtain student ID
  • Learn more about academic programs and campus services

“Northland is committed to supporting Pioneers in improving their student experience and encouraging their success. Takeoff Tuesday provides a streamlined experience for the most common enrollment services in a single day,” Pool added. “The ultimate goal is to get students from applicant to enrolled as a Pioneer in one day.”

Students should plan to come in person and bring essential documents, including a high school transcript or equivalent, a government-issued photo ID such as a valid driver’s license or military ID, and an immunization record.
