September 23, 2021 – Northland student Nicholas Zingraf has been awarded the Gordon B. Hoff $5,000 scholarship from the Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA). This scholarship is the single award granted to an Aviation Maintenance Technology student by the MBAA annually.
A second-year student from Hawley, MN, Zingraf is pursuing an A.A.S. in Aviation Maintenance Technology and will graduate in the spring of 2022.
“It is an incredible honor to receive this award–not just monetarily, but to be recognized for my work is a huge compliment,” shares Zingraf. “Because I gained quite a bit of experience in the workforce before coming to Northland, I hope that on top of my education, I can bring a professional attitude, troubleshooting skills, and leadership abilities to my new career.”
Richard Chapman, Northland Aviation Maintenance Technology instructor, describes Zingraf as a natural leader and ardent student. “Nick is truly an asset to Northland’s AMT program and will bring his superior work ethic and positive attitude to the profession. He takes pride in his work and strives for the best output every day.”
