Northland Student-Built House
Northland will auction a 3-bedroom, 1 3/4 bathroom home built by students in the Carpentry program. The proceeds from the auction will go back into the carpentry program, funding materials, equipment, and next year’s home construction.

Purchaser Expectations
Please review the following guidelines and terms associated with the bidding and purchase process.
- BIDDING
- Minimum bid: $115,000
- Bid increments: $5,000
- PURCHASE
- Purchaser will provide $5,000 earnest money at auction, check payable to Northland Community & Technical College.
- The purchase agreement must be signed on or before July 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
- PAYMENT
- Balance of bid price paid by 3:00 p.m. on August 6, 2025.
- Balance payment includes Minnesota state sales tax of 7.375% on 65% of the purchase price, and all closing costs. Earnest money will be applied toward the purchase price.
- POSSESSION
- Once the purchase agreement is executed, the buyer must arrange for and pay for the removal of the house from the college property. Buyer must maintain insurance.
