Frandsen Family Foundation Scholarship

The Frandsen Family Foundation Scholarship helps eligible Northland Community & Technical College students afford their education by covering up to 2 years of tuition and up to $1,000 for required books, tools, and supplies.

This scholarship is designed to support students from select partner school districts as they begin their college journey at Northland.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Frandsen Family Foundation Scholarship, students must:

  • Graduate from an eligible partner high school or be a homeschooled student within an eligible school district
  • Enroll at Northland Community & Technical College in the semester immediately following high school graduation
  • Complete the FAFSA or Minnesota Dream Act, along with all applicable state grant applications, prior to the start of the semester
  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 credits per semester
  • Be accepted into a Northland program of study
    This scholarship applies to all Northland programs except the Associate of Arts degree.

Students graduating from the following schools are eligible to apply:

  • Ada Borup‑West
  • Braham
  • Clinton‑Graceville‑Beardsley
  • Ely Memorial
  • Frederic
  • Luck
  • Pine City
  • Rush City
  • Warren‑Alvarado‑Oslo
  • Waterville‑Elysian‑Morristown
  • Homeschooled students within these school districts

Important Funding Information

The Frandsen Family Foundation Scholarship is last‑payer funding. This means the scholarship covers remaining eligible tuition and expenses after all other grants, scholarships, and financial aid have been applied.
