Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge, clinical reasoning, and professional competencies required for success on the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing examinations, including the Therapist Multiple Choice Examination (TMC) and the Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE). Emphasis is placed on reinforcing core respiratory care concepts, integrating assessment and diagnostic data, applying evidence-based therapeutic decision-making, and strengthening test-taking strategies specific to NBRC exam formats. Students will engage in focused content refreshers, case-based discussions, exam-style practice questions, and simulation scenarios designed to enhance clinical judgment and exam readiness. Upon completion, students should demonstrate improved proficiency in NBRC exam domains and be prepared to pursue the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Prerequisite(s)

RESP2111, RESP2112, RESP2121, RESP2122, RESP2125, RESP2131, RESP2141. Or prior graduation from an CoARC Accredited program.
