Course Description
This course explores the principles and practices of patient education, wellness promotion, and chronic disease management within respiratory care. Students will examine major pulmonary diseases, their risk factors, diagnostic criteria, and the physical, emotional, and social challenges experienced by affected individuals. Emphasis is placed on developing effective patient-centered education plans, therapeutic goals, and communication strategies, including motivational interviewing and health-behavior, counseling to support long-term adherence and improved health outcomes.
