RESP 2259 – Neonatal Clinical 2

Course Description

This advanced in-person clinical rotation provides intensive, supervised hospital-based experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care. Working under the direction of qualified clinical preceptors, students further develop and refine independent clinical skills within neonatal intensive care (NICU) and pediatric critical care environments. Emphasis is placed on advanced patient assessment, modification of respiratory therapy plans, management of neonatal and pediatric mechanical ventilation, and the delivery of comprehensive care to critically ill infants and children.
