Course Description
This course provides comprehensive instruction in advanced resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Following the standards of the American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) programs, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics' Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), the course covers advanced airway management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication administration, and post-resuscitation care across the lifespan. Successful completion of the required cognitive and psychomotor competencies results in the awarding of ACLS, PALS, and NRP provider certifications.
Prerequisite(s)
RESP2111, RESP2112, RESP2121, RESP2122, RESP2125, RESP2131, RESP2141. Or if not a Respiratory major prior ACLS, PALS, or NRP provider.
