Course Description
Skills, knowledge and attitudes learned in all Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) courses will be applied to direct patient care in selected clinical settings over a six week period. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical application and integration of the knowledge and skills learned during the PTA program with the objective of students providing quality care with uncomplicated to complex patients and a degree of supervision and guidance that will vary with the complexity of the patient or the environment. Students are expected to be responsible for patient care compatible to the role and entry level skills of the PTA.
