Course Description
(Fulfills MNTC Areas: 5, 8) This course explores the context, course, and consequences of the First and Second World Wars. Topics include the beginning of fascist and totalitarian states in Europe, nationalism in Asia, the impact of economic depression, the battlefield and home-front, the Holocaust, development of atomic weaponry. The course will trace diplomatic and military developments in the contexts of underlying political, social, cultural, and economic changes in a modernizing and post-war world.
