Course Description
(Fulfills MNTC Areas: 5, 8) This course is a survey from the beginnings of the earliest human Civilizations to 1500 CE. Topics include the cultural, religious, economic, political, ecological, and social aspects of World Civilizations. This course will examine the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome, the Islamic World, Medieval Europe, West Africa, China, India, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Pre-Columbian Americas.
