Nursing Assistant
This course introduces concepts of basic human needs in simple terms. Students learn to assist residents in activities of daily living. Selected common technical nursing skills are introduced. Principles of body mechanics are emphasized. This course is intended to prepare for practice at the Nursing Assistant level. Prerequisites: None.

Course Notes
Hybrid Course - to meet Federal Regulation OBRA 1987 the class will require the completion of 40 hours independent online hours, 16 hours mandatory supervised practical training, and 24 lab hours. Supervised practical training will take place at: TBA on June 25 and 26 (7:00am-3:20pm). Health and background requirements must be met prior to clinical. Requirements for supervised practical training and required background checks will be discussed during first week of class.
