Northland Community & Technical College will host a free, one-day Liftoff Health Summer Camp designed to introduce participants to careers in healthcare through hands-on learning experiences.
The camp is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.) on Northland’s East Grand Forks campus.
Open to anyone age 12 and older, Liftoff offers an engaging introduction to healthcare and human services fields. Participants will take part in interactive lab activities using real equipment, learn directly from experienced instructors and industry professionals, and explore a variety of career paths—from patient care roles to behind-the-scenes support careers.
“This camp is all about giving participants the chance to experience healthcare in a real, hands-on way—before they ever have to make decisions about their future,” said Alyssa Montgomery, interim director of admissions and recruiting at Northland. “We want them to leave feeling inspired, more confident, and excited about the possibilities ahead. Whether they’re already interested in healthcare or just beginning to explore, Liftoff helps them take that first step.”
The camp is designed to be accessible and welcoming, with no prior experience required. In addition to hands-on activities, participants will experience a day on a college campus, connect with peers, and gain early exposure to college pathways.
Each participant will receive a Liftoff T-shirt, drawstring bag, lunch, and additional giveaways.
Space is limited, and advance registration is required. More information and registration are available at: www.northlandcollege.edu/liftoff
