Northland Community and Technical College and LifeCare Have Created A Partnership

Collaboration aims to grow the next generation of nurses in northwest Minnesota.

Northland Community & Technical College and LifeCare leadership met last spring with the intention of creating a partnership that will grow the future nurses of our communities. On May 15, a group of six RN students from Salol, Roseau, Greenbush, Strathcona and Thief River Falls will graduate from the nursing program at Northland.

The students were guided by Laura Dvergsten, a nursing instructor at Northland. Laura is originally from Roosevelt, but now resides in Wannaska. She remembers beginning as a CNA at LifeCare in 2006.
