Northland to Host Minnesota Education Fair

Fair is open to high school and transfer students, parents, or anyone interested in continuing their education.

August 29, 2019 – Northland Community & Technical will host the Minnesota Education Fair on September 16, 2019, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Northland’s Thief River Falls campus gymnasium.

“College fairs provide students with an opportunity to visit with colleges, universities, and armed services at one convenient location,” said Nicki Carlson, Northland’s Director of Enrollment Management & Admissions. “This event gives students the opportunity to learn more about education and job opportunities in the area. Participants can connect with college representatives to answer their questions and make the first step toward continuing their education.”

Representatives from over 60 educational institutions from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin will be available to provide important information for post-high school planning. Participants will have the opportunity to browse various displays and speak with the schools, colleges, and organizations that interest them in an informal, relaxed setting.

The fair is sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC), which also hosts the National College Fair each fall in Minneapolis. The fair is open to high school students, transfer students, parents, and anyone interested in continuing their education.
