Northland Launches One-Stop Enrollment Days in June and July

The events, called "Take Off Tuesdays," are meant to help alleviate some of the stress associated with college admissions.

May 25, 2022 – In advance of the start of the fall semester, Northland Community & Technical College is offering one-stop enrollment days in June and July. The events, called “Take Off Tuesdays,” are meant to help alleviate some of the stress associated with college admissions.

“Navigating the college admissions and enrollment process can seem overwhelming,” stated Nicki Carlson, Director of Enrollment Management & Admissions at Northland. “Getting started can often be the hardest part, so by offering a one stop shop to complete the necessary steps towards admission and enrollment, we want to make it extremely user friendly for prospective students and their families.”

Through June and July, prospective students interested in starting classes at Northland can drop by the college on Tuesdays without an appointment to attend a one-stop enrollment day where they can meet one-on-one with college representatives who can help guide them through the enrollment process.

“Northland is committed to supporting Pioneers in improving their student experience and encouraging their success. Take Off Tuesdays provides a streamlined experience for the most common enrollment services in a single day,” Carlson added. “The ultimate goal is to get students from applicant to enrolled as a Pioneer in one day.”

Staff representing multiple departments will be available to help students complete the enrollment process in one day, including assisting students with applying for admissions, class registration, scholarships and financial aid, student billing, and taking any required assessments. In addition, staff from the Academic Success Center and other campus services will be on hand to assist students with their needs.

Students should plan to come in person and bring essential documents, including a high school transcript or equivalent, a government-issued photo ID such as a valid driver’s license or military ID, and an immunization record.
