Continued Accreditation Granted to Northland’s Radiologic Technology Program

Midterm review results in program accreditation through 2025

March 17, 2022 – Northland Community & Technical College’s Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program was granted continued accreditation on February 24, 2022, from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

The JRCERT provides evaluation and accreditation to radiology programs that supply a quality educational program. This degree program was granted full accreditation in 2017 for the maximum term of eight years. This most recent accreditation review was required at the midpoint of the eight-year term.

“The continued JRCERT accreditation is a testament to the quality and dedication of our faculty for the Rad Tech program at Northland,” shared Northland President Sandy Kiddoo.

Northland’s Radiologic Technology program is one of the most sought after at the college, with students coming from all over Minnesota and throughout the region to gain credentials in the field. It has consistently had a waiting list for admissions and boasts a 100% job placement rate after graduation. Northland’s program is only one of eight in the Minnesota State system and of 16 total programs in the state of Minnesota.

“The awarded re-accreditation process includes an in-depth overview of the radiology program that is reviewed by our accreditors, the JRCERT,” stated Program Director Debra Beland. “With the continuation of accreditation status, our program reflects a continued quality educational experience that is evident in our well established program. We are graduating students who are making a difference in the healthcare world with continuity of this quality program.”
