Program Description
The Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning/Construction Plumbing A.A.S. Degree program provides the technical knowledge and hands-on training needed to launch a career in the skilled trades. Students develop a strong foundation in HVAC and plumbing systems, learning how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, and water systems for residential and commercial applications. Coursework includes blueprint reading and sketching, as well as the design, fabrication, and installation of forced-air and hot-water heating systems. Students gain experience with ventilation systems, oil and gas boiler installation, and forced-air furnaces, along with water system installation, piping procedures, and plumbing systems. Graduates are prepared for employment in a wide range of businesses across rural and metropolitan areas and may qualify for advanced placement in a plumbing apprenticeship program. This industry-focused curriculum ensures students acquire the practical skills and technical expertise employers demand in today’s HVAC and plumbing workforce.
