Job Description: Function: Perform structural assembly and fastnener installation operations of major/complex components and assemblies. Assure quality conformance to company/customer requirements and specifications. Responsible for assuring final quality acceptance of installations, configuration and operational response of mechanical systems, structures, components and controls. Perform Aircraft Mechanic Structure duties as assigned.

Arrange work assignments, operations and schedules, giving individual instruction and assistance to lower classified Aircraft Mechanics as required to maintain schedule commitments and performance/quality standards.
-Work from and ensure compliance with relevant engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures, specifications, procedures, and verbal instructions.
-Use a variety of precise measuring instruments and equipment to assure quality conformance to specifications.
-Proficiently perform a variety of fastener installations and structural assembly operations.
-Perform fitting and rework operations and prepare and maintain necessary documentation and records.
-Maintain acceptable rating as defined in the Aircraft Mechanic Performance Matrix.
Adhere to all applicable safety and operational procedures and directives.
-Bring to the attention of supervision all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material, and product.
-May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment.
-Keep work area clean and orderly.

QUALIFICATIONS: Job Knowledge and Educational Requirements:
Equivalent to four (4)years High School plus vocational or similar training, including shop math to interpret and work from engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications and procedures, work orders and verbal instructions.
-Must be qualified in blueprint reading and understand fabrication techniques and process specifications. -Must satisfactorily complete all job-related certification and qualification requirements.
-Must be familiar with shop routines, the use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instrument and other shop equipment and have a basis understanding of tool techniques.
-Required to fully understand quality documentation requirements and successfully demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customer representatives.

High school education or equivalent and 5 years of directly related experience.
