Electronic Monitoring Coordinator

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Lincoln County Sheriffs Office invites applications for an Electronic Monitoring Coordinator to perform functions related to determining potential participant qualifications, installation of equipment, maintenance of electronic monitoring database, monitoring movements of participants and other functions related to the electronic monitoring system. Approximately 35 to 40 hours a week with some flexibility in the schedule available. May require limited weekend hours. The 2018 hiring range for this positions is $14.55 - $16.06/hour with a full earning potential of $21.51/hour.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES INCLUDE:
Review eligibility of participant to determine if individual qualifies for electronic monitoring. Review Judges sentence and discuss electronic monitoring guidelines with participant. Enter participant information into website for activation and book prisoner into Sheriffs Office database. Install electronic monitoring device. Track and monitor movements of multiple participants. Ensure payments are being made in a timely manner, track all payments/deposits, set up future payment arrangements, and refund any deposits or overages. Respond to participants in a timely manner. Remove and collect equipment issued, ensure there is no damage, and remove participant from tracking database. Sign up participants to the 24/7 program. Install SCRAM alcohol detection bracelet and follow up. Administer breath test for the presence of alcohol. Collect urine samples for drug tests. Report all violations. Perform daily office/administration duties including fingerprinting citizens for background checks and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED. Ability to operate a PC based computer system accurately and perform basic office tasks efficiently. Must have the ability to maintain records and contact with subjects as required. Must be a credible witness in court. Ability to work independently, with limited direction. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other agencies and the public. Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in law enforcement or in a corrections facility; experience operating a portable breath test machine (PBT); and/or experience in cash handling.
