NCTC to host NJCAA Region XIII women's basketball tournament

Semifinal games will start on Saturday, March 3, and the championship game to be held Sunday, March 4.

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN, Feb. 28, 2018 - The NJCAA Region XIIIB women's basketball tournament will head to Thief River Falls, MN, and the campus of Northland Community & Technical College for the semi-final rounds on Saturday, March 3, and the championship game to be held Sunday, March 4. The Pioneers finished in a two-way tie with Rainy River Community College in the regular season standings, each with a 10-2 final mark. Northland won the coin toss and elected to host the four team competition.

The Region XIIIB championship tournament will feature #1 seed Northland, #2 Rainy River, #3 Hibbing and #4 Central Lakes College. Semifinal round match-ups for Region XIIIB play will see #1 Northland taking on #4 Central Lakes College, while #2 Rainy River will face #3 Hibbing Community College.

Saturday, March 3
2:00 PM - No. 1 seed Northland (20-5) vs. No. 4 seed Central Lakes College (14-10)
4:00 PM - No. 2 seed Rainy River CC (17-6) vs. No. 3 seed Hibbing CC (21-6)

Sunday, March 4
2:00 PM - Championship Game

Ticket prices will be $7 for adults and $4 for students
