Diane Scott (Nursing Faculty) elected to Minnesota Board of Nursing

Thief River Falls, MN (August 15, 2011) Diane Scott, nursing instructor at Northland Community and Technical College, has recently been elected for a four year term as a member of the Minnesota Board of Nursing (MBON). The mission of the MBON is to ensure that the public will have access to competent, safe, and ethical practitioners in the nursing profession.

The Board of Nursing's current opening was for a registered nurse that is a resident of Minnesota, graduated from an approved school of nursing, is registered in Minnesota, is working as a nurse in Minnesota, and has at least five years experience in nursing practice or nursing education immediately preceding the appointment. The nurse must have teaching experience in an associate degree nursing program.

Scott has worked for Northland for 19 years as a nursing faculty member. Scott, a native of Bemidji, MN, is currently instructing at the Thief River Falls campus and conducts clinicals for Northland nursing students in Fosston, MN. Since 1991, she has been a registered nurse at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
