Course Description

(Fulfills MNTC Area: 9) This course emphasizes the importance of personal financial management. The course will explore issues in individual financial planning and budgeting, management of money, and protection against losses. Topics covered will include retirement planning, tax planning, credit management, and time value of money. Making the most of available financial resources through informed decisions about saving, investing, borrowing, and use of insurance to manage risks is also covered.
