PHIL 2220 – Environmental Ethics

Course Description

(Fulfills MNTC Areas: 2, 9, 10) This course provides a broad introduction to ethical issues relating to the environment and human's impact on it. The course examines several general theoretical approaches to moral problems and applies those explanations to issues of local, national, and global concern. Examples of such issues include, but are not limited to, management of natural resources, climate change, sustainability, energy production and use, pollution and waste, genetic modification, and animal rights.
