The Information Technology Services department at Northland Community and Technical College provides students and employees with computer and technology services necessary to support and enhance the educational learning environment.

The ITS department works diligently to provide quality work and support to assist users in a courteous and professional manner. They are a team made up of motivated and professional staff focused on teamwork, efficiency, and the timely support and success of users.

Laptops:

The NCTC ITS helpdesk provides a standard level of support for student laptops for academic use.

Some programs require laptops, as well as additional computer requirements. Click here for a list of programs requiring laptops. See your program advisor for additional specific computer requirements.

Computer Access:

NCTC has many computer areas available for student use. Visit the HOW DO I? section for a listing of labs and hours.

Purchasing Software:

Do you need Microsoft Office 2010 or other software? Purchase software from the NCTC eAcademy Store for a huge discount on full sofware versions. Don't spend more than what you need to! Click here to register for an account and get your discounted software!

Email:

Your student email account is in the format of first_lastname@student.northlandcollege.edu.

Note: Common names may have a number following the last name.  Confirm your information at the student username lookup page.

Email is the official means of communication between NCTC and students. Please check daily to ensure you don't miss out on important updates and announcements. You may also set up your smartphone to receive your email.

Printing:

Students receive $20 of free printing each semester. Additional printing may be purchased at the Kisoks located on each campus. For debit or credit card purchases go to the campus bookstores.

Black and White: .05 per side           Color: .50 per side

Wireless Coverage:

NCTC campuses have full wireless coverage for students, employees, and guests. Guests will need to contact the IT department for a guest user account.

Student Technology Committee:

Students are encourgaged to sign up to be a member of the Student Technology committee. Student Tech fees are applied per credit and are used for various technology related purchases, maintenance, and agreements for student use. Please contact its@northlandcollege.edu to become a member!
