Job Description:  
Wipaire, Inc., has open positions for Fabricator/Assemblers and we are willing to train individuals who would like to learn how to make aircraft floats and work in an exciting industry. Our manufacturing team works 4, 10 hour days (6:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday).

We are interested in interviewing and hiring now for full time positions starting in June.

Position Summary:
Depending on experience, our Fabricator/Assemblers perform various levels of work in the fabrication & assembly of TSO parts to Wipaire and industry standards and to meet all regulatory requirements. Our more experienced fabricators are responsible for performing more complex fabrication and assembly of aircraft floats.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Completes safety training prior to starting the job. Maintains awareness of and follows all safety rules, including use of safety equipment such as: safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, respirators, machine guards, etc.
2. Performs simple fabrication and assembly of floats and other aircraft parts within industry and company standards and to meet deadlines.
a. Measures and shears/cuts raw material to match specifications or sample parts, following instructions.
b. Operates equipment and utilizes common hand tools needed to manufacture and assemble parts.
c. Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exit, corrects them.
d. Prepares aircraft parts for painting using chemical conversion process.
3. Keeps Production Supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
a. Records time in ERP software and initial work order for each process of assembly.
b. Notifies Supervisor of any build or quality issues for resolution.
c. Returns all unused parts with current job.
Qualifications/knowledge, skills, abilities:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficiency in working with hand tools and common metal shop tasks preferred.
• Apply manual dexterity for hand tools and power equipment use.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to use hand tools, including files, hammers, snips; power tools such as sanders, drills, riveters, and grinders.
