Maintenance Technician

Job Description:  
Essential Functions
• Read, comprehend, and use FAA approved maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, ADs, Service Bulletin, progressive inspection checklists, and other related maintenance documentation in order to effectively trouble shoot airframe, engine, avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Complete required Silverhawk Aviation forms accurately to FAA and Silverhawks standards.
• Complete work within the budgeted discrepancy man hours.
Technical Abilities
• Customer-service abilities required, experience preferred.
• General knowledge of aircraft engine and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with aircraft tooling and quality maintenance methods.
• Prefer some experience with Tool Control and FOD, but not required.

Fulfill FAA criminal background checks.
• Able to secure and maintain appropriate airport authority badge/s.
• Submit and continually pass each applicable Federal, DOT, and OSHA drug and/or alcohol testing.
• Meet Silverhawks insurance providers standards for driving company vehicles.
• Ability to fluently read, write, and comprehend English.
• Own a basic set of aircraft maintenance tools and toolbox.
• Perform strenuous work requiring lifting, pushing and or pulling objects in excess of 100lbs (occasionally), and objects weighing 50lbs on a regular basis.
