Duration: 11-12 months with possible extension
Printed circuit board fabrication, troubleshoots, and rework. Wire harness development, fabrication, and installation. Instrumentation. Inspection, test, and failure analysis of defective electronic assemblies. Mark-up schematics based on troubleshooting and test findings.
Specific Position Requirements:
Candidates must be able to speak, read and comprehend the English language very well.
Repair electronic assemblies, debug circuitry, perform testing and communicate with production personnel, supervisors, managers and engineers.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform basic inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies. Rework products per company and industry standards. Build basic test harnesses, loads and/or circuit boards to support product design. Document and maintain records. Inform supervisor of processor design problems and assist in the corrective action. Assist engineering, production and support areas as needed to identify and resolve basic design, product, process, or test problems. Conduct manual test of basic electronic circuits and PCBs. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors. Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., millimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause. Ability to read basic engineering documents, schematics or diagrams. Maintain necessary product records and documentation. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets. Ability to assemble and disassemble products.
