An Associate in Science degree builds a strong foundation of leadership and managerial skills to effectively manage people, organizations, and technology in the increasingly competitive global business world.

Northland's Business program is for students intending to seek employment after graduation and for those planning to continue their studies at a four-year college or university. The curriculum addresses contemporary business issues through courses in economics, communications, the legal environment, and provides practical knowledge in analytical disciplines such as computer science, statistics, and mathematics.

The courses required for this degree cover the basic areas of knowledge necessary for entrance into the business world and successful performance on the job. In addition, internships are available for students who desire hands-on experience in their chosen fields.

Transfer Information

If you spend two years at Northland completing the 60-credit AA degree, and transfer to a Minnesota state college or university, you will have satisfied the first two years of a four-year degree program. Additionally, your two years at Northland will cost approximately one third less than if you completed them at a four-year Minnesota state college or university. The transfer option is an economical choice for many students.

Program Learner Outcomes
