If you've tuned in recently, you know that we've been having fun with a few different styles of music, and dipping into some of the older stuff. For a while now, we've been toying with the idea of playing a style of music that no one else has been playing for years now. That would be what you'd call "classic hits" or even "oldies/classics." Ultimately, we want to use it on the weekend to surround a few of our best shows like The Barndance, Basement Rock, and Little Steven's Underground Garage. But, we didn't want to go that way until we had a chance to really see what it sounded like on air. We also wanteed a bit of feedback too from our weekly listeners. In the meantime, we've adjusted the daytime Americana mix to be a little truer to form. We hope you've enjoyed hearing a few of those classics, and that you enjoy the new weekend sound as well. The Americana mix will be back this afternoon. We'll be doing a straighter "Americana" format during the week, and we'll surround the great weekend shows with classic country, and classic hits.
