Cinderella Takes the Northland Stage in April

The production will be presented on April 28 and 29 at 7:00 p.m. and on April 30 at 3:00 p.m.

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN - Cinderella is a young girl with her head in books and her feet in sneakers. Ridiculed by her stepmother and stepsisters for her reading habits she is surprised to find a likeminded person to discuss philosophy with who we come to find out is the prince. After their chance meeting, they are both prompted to attend the ball at the king’s palace by the Well-Wisher, Gwendolyn, who is our story’s matchmaker. Gwendolyn also makes it possible for our two swooning lovebirds to see without their glasses for the ball, but that ability for our two main characters disappears when the clock strikes midnight. The problem is now, how can the prince find Cinderella. And since every maiden in the kingdom seems to have run out from the ball without a shoe, the prince, and his valet have a long, tiring, and stinky road before them as they head off to return the shoes to find the prince’s love.
