Don has been a technology instructor since 1996 and helped stand up the computer and network technology program in 1997 when he came to Northland on a full-time basis. Students typically work for smaller companies locally but many have moved to larger cities that typically have larger IT companies associated with them. Students from the computer and network technology program accept many different positions after graduation. They can range from network administrators to service technicians. “A lot of industry has been calling me lately and are looking for info on students for possible jobs or internship opportunities," said Campbell. Employment projections for computer network support specialists are projected to grow by 10% in MN by 2020 and higher throughout the USA.
