THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn.- Marvin Windows recently donated over $5000 in airplane parts to Northland Community & Technical College’s Aerospace Campus. The donated items came from a King Air Dash 42 engine that was part of the Marvin fleet of four aircraft. The parts will be used to help train Northland Aviation Maintenance Training (AMT) students in engine maintenance.

Northland’s Aerospace Campus is home to Aviation Maintenance Training (AMT), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Maintenance Training, and Imagery Analyst (IA) programs. The UAS and IA programs are the first programs of their kind in the nation. The AMT program, which will benefit from this generous donation from Marvin Windows, has a long history of producing quality aircraft maintenance technicians.

The donated parts came from a 2003 aircraft that was used for the Tours and Training division to fly people in from across the world for training at Marvin. They operate a fleet of four aircraft that transport over 15,000 people each year. Due to wear on the parts they were deemed non-airworthy but are still perfect as a training aid for Northland students.
