Representatives from Mesaba Airlines recruit for A & P Mechanics at NCTC.

Jeffrey Meyer, Maintenance Operations Manager of Mesaba Airlines of Minneapolis, MN, and Amber Newgard, recruiter for Mesabi Airlines, visited the Northland Community & Technical College Airport site on Tuesday, April 8th, in an effort to recruit A & P Mechanics.

Mesaba, the 12th largest regional airline in the United States, is looking to hire at least 100 new mechanics this summer. Mechanics are needed in Minneapolis, MN, Detroit, MI, Memphis, TN, Wausau and Rhinelander, WI, and two new locations in DeMoine IA and Moline, IL,

During their visit with the students, they covered the company’s requirements, wages, training and benefit packages. Following the presentation, job interviews were conducted with 5 students that will soon graduate from NCTC Aviation Maintenance Technology program and be entering the workforce. Students included: Rick Lothspeich of Minot, ND; Ron Heil of Roseville, MN; Prabin Shrestha of Nepal, India; Jennifer Untener of Maple Grove, MN; and Aric Porter of Guthrie, MN.
