Northland College to host MCAC State Volleyball Tournament
Paul Peterson, Athletic Coordinator at Northland Community and Technical College announced this week that Northland College will be the official site of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference State Volleyball Tournament on October 24-25, 2009.
“This year, the tournament will be a single elimination consolation bracket tournament, where in the past it was pool play,” explained Peterson. Eight teams from across the state will pair off, with matches on October 24th at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., with championship rounds to be held October 25th beginning with the consolation game at 11 a.m., followed by third place at 1 p.m., and the championship game at 3 p.m.
The tournaments are open to the public with tickets available at the door. Admission will be $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. For more information contact Paul Peterson at 218-683-8556.
