Small business owners and budding entrepreneurs can secure funding for their venture with a powerful, well-crafted business plan. A sound business plan is a required component of any loan request for either expansion or a new business concept. You can learn how to write a business plan with the entrepreneurship program offered at Northland Community and Technical College. Business plan writing classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Thief River Falls. Classes begin on November 2. Preregistration is required by calling 218-683-8647.

Many entrepreneurs have great moneymaking ideas. “Northwestern Minnesota is a fertile ground for new inventions and business ideas, but funding your venture requires a sound business plan,” states Paul Werner, Business Instructor at Northland.

“The Northwest region of greater Minnesota is full of inventors, entrepreneurs, and small business owners,” stated Werner. “The hearty folks who live here are self-sufficient and solve everyday problems with unique, ingenious ideas,” which helps them simplify everyday tasks and burdens, stated Werner; “Necessity is the mother of invention!”

Successful entrepreneurs seek out resources to help them be successful. The business plan writing classes are designed to accommodate daily work schedules. People who should attend include small business owners, inventors, entrepreneurs, internet entrepreneurs, and people interested in bringing their unique idea to life.

These business plan writing classes offered are college-level entrepreneurship classes designed to help the budding entrepreneur be successful in their business endeavor, and to assist in obtaining financing for their idea or expansion. The instructor is Paul J. Werner, a successful entrepreneur and business instructor at Northland Community and Technical College.

The Swenson Institute for Entrepreneurial Development is a cooperative effort between Northland Community and Technical College, The Small Business Development Center.
