Ganje and Satrom recipients of Clara B. Sanger Scholarship
Tracey Ganje of Fargo, ND, and Heather Satrom of Mayville, ND, were selected as recipients of the Clara B. Sanger Scholarship, awarded through the NCTC Foundation, in the amount of $400. Both are freshman students enrolled in Northland Community & Technical College’s Radiologic Technology program at the East Grand Forks campus.
Clara B. Sanger was the program director when the Radiography program first originated in Grand Forks, ND. Sanger passed away a year after the program became affiliated with NCTC - East Grand Forks campus (then known as Northwest Technical College.)
Clara dedicated her life to training and instructing students in this field and always pushed students to strive to be and do their best. A fund was set up in her honor which provides a scholarship each year to a first year student enrolled in the program.
The selection criterion for the scholarship includes writing a paper regarding student career aspirations, clinical grade and evaluations, attendance and program commitment.
The NCTC Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks and administers private gifts for student scholarships and support of NCTC. For more information on how to contribute to the Foundation, please call (218) 683-8616.
