NCTC Foundation 2nd Annual Golf Tournament raises $12,000

The NCTC Foundation 2nd Annual Golf Tournament held at Valley Golf Course in East Grand Forks on August 17th, raised over $12,000. A significant portion of the proceeds will be given out as scholarships to students of the East Grand Forks campus of Northland Community & Technical College.
The 18 hole scramble brought in a record 29 - four person teams. The tournament also grew in attracting area business sponsors. Major tournament sponsors were Clear Channel, Climate Control, Lunseth Plumbing and Heating, Floan-Sanders, Taher, In-Prints Screen Printing, Daydreams Specialties, American Crystal Sugar, Drummer’s Diesel, Grand Forks Heating and Scott’s Music.

The winning women's team included: Sue Thompson, Terri Staples, Linda Waale and Rocky Moore. The winning mixed team included: Tim Borgen and Dave Twite of RBB Electric and Kelly Shipman and Lacie Olson of Graybar.
Longest Drive honors went to Tim Borgen and Lisa Bartlett. Longest Putt honors went to Pat Boppre.
