Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
The federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is designed to ensure that all protected health information (PHI) be kept private and secure by all persons who handle, or have access to, that information. Therefore, all NCTC students enrolled in Health and Human Service programs that come in contact with PHI as part of their educational or work responsibilities must complete this online training module. Allied Health and Human Services students are expected to complete the module annually.
