Helpful Tips

  • Apply for financial aid EARLY and remember to REAPPLY for each school year in attendance. (A school year consists of fall, spring and summer semesters).
  • Apply for a personal PIN number from the Department of Education. This PIN number works as an electronic signature on the federal financial aid application. It will also be needed to access student's financial aid account information and to apply for student loans. (For students required to supply parents information, one parent will also need to apply for a PIN number).
  • Once you recieve your PIN number, electronically complete the financial aid application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

  • Did you know that most male students must be registered with the Selective Service System before they are eligible to receive student loans, Pell Grants, or other forms of school financial assistance? That's been the law since 1982. We can help you stay eligible because male students can register online with Selective Service.

Grants, Loans and Scholarships

Grants, loans and scholarships are available. Some are based upon need; others are based upon academic standing, career programs or specific career goals. Part-time students may be eligible for financial aid.
